FAQs

What is a virtual escape room experience?
A virtual escape game is an online remote experience that you can play from the comfort of your home or office with your friends and family no matter where they are in the world! You will have to guide your helper around Boston Court with them acting as your eyes, ears, and hands.

The escape room is free? Really?
Absolutely! This escape room is a project from the creative minds at Boston Court who miss our audience and wanted to bring you a new theatrical adventure since we still can’t be in the theatre together. That said, if you’d like to donate to support this and future projects we certainly won’t stop you. http://bit.ly/escaperoomsupport

What do I need to play the escape room?
All you will need is a computer or tablet with a webcam or a smartphone, to have pre-downloaded Zoom, a good internet connection, your imagination, and a great team of friends or colleagues to help solve the mystery!

How long will the escape room take to play?
A typical escape takes 60 minutes but please allow 5 minutes before and after the scheduled time for a quick briefing before and a team photo after!

Is there a minimum number of players per game?
There is a minimum of 4 players per game. Please reserve a ticket for each friend you’d like to bring! If you reserve less than 4 players, we will match your reservation with other players.

Can I play with my family located in a different state or country?
Absolutely! You can play with anyone located anywhere in the world. Just make sure you book a time that works for all members of your team. (Time zones can vary quite a few hours.)

How do I know when the game will start and what to do next?
Once your team has made a reservation, a confirmation email will be sent with your Zoom link and a few reminders. Please allow 5 minutes prior to your game to make sure you are on the platform as you don’t want to start late, because with a missing person every minute counts!

Is there an age limit to playing the escape room?
There is no age limit but we recommend all players being over the age of 13 to play, with one member of the team being an adult.
